UNACCOMPANIED TRANSPORT
Unaccompanied transport involves shipping only the trailer without the tractor or driver. Our own tractors load the trailers on the European mainland. After loading, the trailers are dropped off at the port of Zeebrugge. At the terminal, the trailer is placed aboard a roll-on/roll-off (RO/RO) ship using a terminal tractor (Terberg). The trailer is then shipped to the United Kingdom. Upon arrival, a local partner attaches and delivers the trailer to its final destination.
This form of transport reduces waiting times, optimizes resource utilization, and ensures reliable delivery across borders.
ACCOMPANIED TRANSPORT
With accompanied transport, the tractor remains permanently attached to the trailer throughout the entire journey. This means that the same driver who loads on the European mainland also carries out the delivery in the United Kingdom. We mainly utilize escorted crossings via Calais and/or Dunkirk. This method provides maximum control and flexibility with minimal transshipment and risk of delays.
Accompanied transport is ideal for time-critical or sensitive loads where continuous monitoring by one driver is desired.
We specialize in temperature-controlled transport with our own fleet of 15 refrigerated trucks. Our expertise lies in safely and securely transporting temperature-sensitive goods, including chocolate, vegetables, and frozen products.
